PCT Safety Engineer (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position has two ma or areas of responsibility:
- 1st part:
- PCT Safety - Caretaker of the Functional Safety Management System
- Specification of Safety Requirements for funtional safety installations
- Qualified support during design and implementation of functional safety concepts
- Conduct trainings for PCT engineers and technicians
- Calculation of integrity levels for PCT safety-installations (SIL) and determination of the operational reliability for the site
- Development of instructions for inspections of PCT-safety installations
- Tracking and quality assessment of recurring inspections of PCT safety installations. Classification of inspection depth due to variable test cycle
- Pursuit of malfunctions and errors with regard to functional safety. Deduce corrective measures
- Apply Functional Safety roles in projects
- 2nd part:
- Electrical safety and Explosion protection (electrical, electrostatic)
- Caretaker for the site safety concept for all low voltage systems (400V/500V)
- Development of instructions for recurring inspection and monitoring of its implementation for all electrical equipment at the site
- Equipotential bonding
- Verification of intrinsic safety loops
- Maintenance of E-Database
- Supervisor for concept development and implementation of an enhanced concept for explosion prevention from electrostatic discharge
WHO YOU ARE
- University degree (Bachelor or higher) in Electrical engineering or Process Control Technology
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as PCT plant or pro ect engineer
- Sound knowlegde in PCT as well as in the field of Functional Safety preferably in chemical industry
- General knowlegde in the area of explosion prevention (ATEX), low voltage electric supply and electrostatical grounding
- Very strong sense of responsibility is a must
- Willing to obtain additional knowledge and formal qualifications if needed
- Teamplayer, who proactively shares knowledge and experience
- Fluent in German and English is a must. Any other languages are a plus
