Global Design Lead

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Global Power Brand and Category Strategy Plans with regard to Design strategy insights and recommendations with alignment from Global Design Director
  • Global Powerbrands within a given global category group – responsible for: Lead the translation of brand purpose, archetype, + other relevant factors into Vision Brand Language (VBL) & Experience Brand Language (EBL), design strategy and roadmaps
  • Define the guiding principles (fixed and flexible assets) of VBL and EBL in the brand world, including detailed design guidelines for touchpoints within core group responsibility
  • Lead design key innovations and renovations (from ‘project start’ to design freeze, incl. deployment support outside of NA. Primary responsibilities; agency management, briefing, design quality / output, budgets and timing. Functional Expectations: Lead and guide flawless transition from intent to execution within the VBL and EBL
  • Share and align best practices and approach Share category, consumer, and industry global trends with Design organization and business Reinforce Design thinking to the business and processes
  • Partner with Regional Design: Guide flawless transition from intent to execution May Manage interns,Co-Ops, entry level designer(s) as the function grows; will be responsible for recruiting and developing their skills


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree (or international equivalent degree) with min. 10 years’ experience, Master’s Degree (or equivalent international degree) with a min. 8 years’ experience
  • Managing ‘holistic’ design across multiple touchpoints, from innovation to execution
  • A proven track record in building distinctive brand and consumer experiences, delivering notable commercial impact
  • Is adept at dealing with ambiguity while driving for results
  • Demonstrated strong Interpersonal and presentation skills and organizational agility
  • Design thinking, 2D & 3D design, project planning, Shopper & user empathy (inclusive)
  • Understanding of Manufacturing / Printing principles
  • English is a must have, any other languages is a plus
